Quaker waterproofing additive - Made by IPA Systems
Masonry – Stucco and mortar is like a sponge made up of a network of pores. Quaker waterproofing additive reacts with the free lime and modifies the pore structure to make the pores smaller and tighter. This prevents water and moisture from penetrating into the wall or joint system. Quaker waterproofing additive will break up the formation of calcium hydration in the masonry preventing efflorescence from forming.
The addition of Quaker waterproofing additive will increase the workability of the mix. For the stucco base coat it will make the porosity of the wall more uniform allowing for consistent curing of the finish coat on the wall.
Excellent for use with masonry stucco and mortar mixes used in masonry and stick on stone.
1 pint per 5 bags of stucco finish coat
1 pint per 100 lbs of cement (when used in a mortar mix)
